Objectivism : Ayn Rand Philosophy

Who says a woman doesnot have a sound head over her shoulders. I dont know if the statement is wrong, but there has been an exception to this fact(if it is so). The lady who gave the philosophy of Objectivism and through her mammoth Novels namely 'Atlas Shrugged' and 'Fountainhead' was indeed more brainy than even most of the men we have seen in the glorious past of our Literature.
Formally Ayn Rand named her philosophy "Objectivism" but she caled it a philosophy of living on earth.
"My philosophy in essence," she said, "is the concept of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity and reason as his only absolute." Strong characters which portray her theory in true spirit namely, Howard Roark(in
Fountainhead
) and John Galt (in Atlas Shrugged) have bean beautifully handled in the stories which have attained the status of classics over the years. Though they were written back in the 1940s but the idea that they coney holds relevance even today.
For those of you who haven't read any of the works of Ayn Rand; go ahead n grab a copy!
